www.TigerBooks.ca is a person-to-person book exchange designed to provide students and members of the Dalhousie community with a central place to buy and sell used books.

Through this service, users are able to post used books they would like to sell while others can search the database to find books they would like to buy. The DSU does not manage the actual transactions. We simply provide the contact information for those selling books.

To post a book for sale on the site you must log in and select the 'Sell Books' link. A confirmation e-mail will be sent to your account with the details of any posting you make. You may edit or remove a posting at any time through the 'Your Books for Sale' link. Once a book has been sold we would ask that you remove the posting so as to avoid clutter on the site and prevent unwanted e-mails to your account.

Potential buyers will contact you via your dal.ca e-mail address. As part of efforts to prevent the misuse of user e-mail addresses, your e-mail address will appear on postings attached to a series of characters that must be manually removed. That is, your address will appear as $AntiSpam$yourname@dal.ca.

Please note that the posting of illegal materials, including photocopied course packets and readers or other items not authorized for resale, is strictly prohibited. Such postings will be removed by the site administrator and may result in a temporary or permanent user suspension.

The DSU maintains the right to remove any posting or suspend the privileges of any user for misuse of the service. This may include, but is not limited to, the posting of fake or misleading entries.
